Jen Pennington
Art Director
Jen Pennington brings a unique perspective to the field of integrated marketing and branding. Trained as both a fine artist and graphic designer, Jen has won several awards for her work in both print and web based applications and blends her creative eye and unique design capabilities with a keen understanding of marketing. She has created media campaigns for a wide range of companies including Hewlett-Packard, Philips Medical Systems and Melles Griot, along with many energy-based companies including The Steadfast Group, InfoNetrix, and air pollution control specialists, Geoenergy (a division of A.H. Lundberg and Associates.) Along with her creative partner, Emily Corey, Jen has facilitated seminars for Hewlett-Packard’s engineering and marketing staff as well as for the Washington State Public Relations Association (the PR arm for many of Washington state’s public school districts). She has also appeared as a guest lecturer on art processes at Macromedia Conferences and for the University of Washington School of Business. She has a B.F.A. with honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, NY.
Emily Corey
Creative Writer
Emily Corey is an award-winning writer and researcher and has written extensively for multi-media and advertising. She is the recipient of both Gold and Silver CLIO Awards, the Belding Award, the Benny Award, and the London International Advertising Award and her work has been selected as part of the permanent collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s "Fashion Archive Collection". She is co-writer of the musical, Songs From The Tall Grass, which made its world première at the historic Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. in the spring of 2001. She has written extensively for Hewlett-Packard, CalTech (the California Institute of Technology), Knowledge, Adventure, Geoenergy a division of A.H. Lundberg and Associates and The Steadfast Group. Emily holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley. She is also co-founder of History Through Music, an organization dedicated to teaching American History to school-aged children through music-based curriculums.
James McGrath
Web Developer
A native of London, James has made his home in the Pacific Northwest for the past thirteen years. Drawn to the Internet as a simple and effective outlet for a myriad of creative mediums, James integrates his passion for imaginative solutions with his sensibilities as a technology genius. Always excited by exploring and making use of the latest Web technologies and applications, he is a firm believer in not using technology for technology's sake. Simple, effective and creative solutions drive his technology for Cypress projects.
