- The Cypress team has provided program management to a large California utility for its multi-year coincident peak and annual energy savings efforts targeting the new-construction residential markets.
- Cypress has planned and executed a multi-faceted AC residential efficiency upgrade program for a large Southwest utility. The program includes a Time of Use (TOU) rate component, customer surveys and PUC testimony, pilot projects for load control and channel training. This completely outsourced solution is focused on the new construction market (builders, distributors, manufacturers and contractors) and the retrofit residential service contractor market.
- The Cypress team is engaged in advising a southwestern state's department of energy on all efficiency retrofit projects targeting public buildings in support of its Performance Contracting legislation.
- The Cypress team planned and aided implementation for Western, North East and Midwest utility energy service ventures. To support this project, Cypress wrote business plans, performed acquisition diligence and start-up support including sales training, strategic sourcing, engineering support and financial reporting.
- Cypress assessed and developed energy services new venture for a public power Joint Operating Agency. Additionally, Cypress wrote a business plan, identified new services, and placed and managed a multi-year tactical implementation team.
- Cypress assisted a Minnesota start-up, educational software company secure second round VC funding and developed company sales and marketing plans.
- Cypress provided project development and management oversight for over $30 million in energy services installations on behalf of utilities in the Northeast and Pacific Northwest.
- Cypress designed Load Management and Efficiency programs for a large Iowa G&T Cooperative and its members.
- Cypress designed, managed, and implemented a networked electricity and steam sub-metering system at a large Minnesota college campus.
- Cypress led a consulting team in the creation of strategic technology resource plans for three Northwest Public Utilities. Assessed both internal and external technology trends and customer service uses.
- Cypress performed detailed assessment of automatic meter reading applications, operational suitability and technical and economic implementation feasibility for a municipal utility.
- Cypress conducted market research; planning and assessment and developed launch plan for new power quality product targeting North America and Europe.
- Cypress led, funded, and managed Minnesota based e-Marketplace start up, including planning, financial private placement, marketing, sales, technical operations, staff assessment and hiring. We negotiated all aspects of e-commerce revenue sources including: transaction fees, advertising fees and developed and used buyer and supplier financial, traffic, hosting, ASP/ISP and scalability models.
